I’m not entirely sure why yet, but I seem to prefer the home-recorded version. Somehow more immediate, more personal to me. Both are wonderful, to be sure, and I can only pray that soon an album(cd/digital release, whatever) of solo bach is forthcoming, but the home version (due in some part to the environmental noises) immediately brings the listener to your apartment, feeling the solitude (romantic illusion of artist in lonely isolation?) of your practice.
Continue to inspire us, as you always seem to do…and please come to Chicago!
